Gerber Collision & Glass Establishes a Presence in Texas with the Acquisition of Three Centers in the Dallas Area
Chicago, Illinois – March 1, 2018 – The Boyd Group Inc. (the “Boyd Group”) today announced the February 23, 2018 acquisition of three collision repair centers in Dallas, Texas and its neighbouring suburbs. These centers were previously operated as Earth Collision Center. This operation was founded in Carrollton in 2010.With success in this market, additional locations were opened in The Colony and Dallas, in 2012 and 2017, respectively. Carrollton and The Colony are cities in Denton County, a northern suburb of Dallas. Located in northeastern Texas, these three locations span a 22 mile radius from The Colony down to Dallas.
“We enter Texas with the establishment of a key presence in Dallas, one of the largest cities in the country,” said Tim O’Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group. “We are pleased to be entering this market with the support of Brad Hansing and Will Kitchens, previous owner and manager of these locations. Brad will take on the role of Market Manager to oversee these new locations and grow our presence in the region.”
