Gerber Collision Acquires Four Collision Repair Centers in Arizona and Opens New Location in Georgia

December 8, 2009 - The Boyd Group Inc. (the “Boyd Group”) today announced the acquisition of Big Sky Autobody in Arizona and the opening of a new start-up in Georgia. Big Sky Autobody is a regional operator of four collision repair centers in Arizona with three centers located in Tucson and one in Avondale. These four centers will be re-branded under the Gerber Collision & Glass trade name. The new start-up is located in Rome, Georgia and is approximately 12,000 square feet in size. With these five new facilities, Gerber Collision & Glass now operates 11 centers in Arizona, seven in Georgia and 53 overall in the U.S.

“The acquisition of Big Sky Autobody allows us to establish a strong market presence for the Gerber Collision & Glass brand in the Tucson market, while the Avondale location helps strengthen our existing presence in the western Phoenix suburban area,” said Tim O’Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group’s U.S. Operations. “The acquired centers are modern facilities with skilled personnel and are a good fit with our existing network.
