Winnipeg, Manitoba - September 15, 2011 - Boyd Group Income Fund (TSX: BYD.UN) (“the Fund” or “the Boyd Group”) is pleased to announce that, effective after the close of trading on Friday, September 16, 2011, the Fund will be added to the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index. Standard and Poor’s Canadian Index Operations announced this addition on September 9, 2011, following results of their annual review of the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index.

“We are pleased with the addition of the Boyd Group Income Fund to the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index,” said Brock Bulbuck, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Boyd Group. “Our inclusion in this index is expected to further increase the Fund’s exposure to a broader range of potential investors.”

The S&P/TSX SmallCap Index serves the dual purpose of a benchmark as well as an investable index for the Canadian small cap market. The index is float adjusted and market cap weighted and was developed with industry input as the ideal benchmark for those with small cap exposure of the Canadian equity market. The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) serves as the distributor of both real-time and historical data for this index.
