Boyd Group Income Fund Announces Retirement of Executive Chairman and Trustee

Winnipeg, Manitoba – October 17, 2011 – Boyd Group Income Fund (TSX: BYD.UN) (“the Fund” or the “Boyd Group”) today announced the retirement of Terry Smith from both his position as Executive Chairman of the Fund and as a member of the Fund’s Board of Trustees, effective October 15, 2011. Mr. Smith’s planned retirement was previously disclosed in the Fund’s September 6, 2011 press release and Prospectus dated September 20, 2011.
